Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Dryden's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Dryden won the last time they faced Deckerville and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Dryden Cardinals walked away with a 63-51 win over the Deckerville Eagles.

Defeat or not, Deckerville got some senior leadership from Hunter Garza and Logan Martin. Garza on his way to 19 points and six boards, while Martin dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Garza continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Shanks, who posted four points.

Dryden is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Deckerville and nudges their season record down to 11-10.

Dryden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-38 victory against Mayville on the 21st. As for Deckerville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 59-47 win against Kingston on the 21st.
