Recap: Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights vs. Greenfield Hustlin' Hawks
The Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They secured a 63-57 W over Greenfield. 63 seems to be a good number for Milwaukee Lutheran as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Milwaukee Lutheran was led to victory by Xavier Allen and Makhai Jewell. Allen scored 20 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Jewell scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Jelani Weathers was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Milwaukee Lutheran pushed their record up to 8-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Greenfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
Milwaukee Lutheran will head out on the road to square off against Whitnall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitnall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matchups -- so hopefully Milwaukee Lutheran likes a good challenge. As for Greenfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cudahy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cudahy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
