Highland Park and Deerfield are an even 4-4-2 against one another since August of 2017, but likely not for long. The Giants are taking a road trip to take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Highland Park fell victim to Waukegan and their airtight defense on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Deerfield managed to keep up with New Trier until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Trevians. The loss continues a trend for Deerfield in their meetings with New Trier: they've now lost seven in a row.

Deerfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8-3. As for Highland Park, they now have a losing record of 8-9-1.

Highland Park came out on top in a nail-biter against Deerfield in their previous meeting back in August, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Giants repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
