Soccer Recap: Albia Beats Chariton for Their Eighth Straight Victory

Albia waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Chariton Chargers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 back in April.

Albia's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those six matches. As for Chariton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albia will take on Oskaloosa at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Albia are facing Oskaloosa at the right time seeing as Oskaloosa are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Chariton, they are taking a road trip to take on Grand View Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
