Judson on top thanks to 20-game victory streak; College signees Tanner Leissner (New Hampshire), David Wacker (Boise State) pacing strong frontcourt for 22-1 Rockets.

After starting 2-1, Judson has rattled off 20 straight wins to secure the top spot in the Texas Top 25 rankings.

With a winning streak now stretching to 20, Judson (Converse) is the top-ranked team in this week's MaxPreps Texas Top 25 boys basketball rankings.
The Rockets (22-1) fended off a challenge from Wagner (San Antonio) 72-58 in their District 25-5A opener on Friday.
David Wacker, the youngest son of Judson head coach Mike Wacker, contributed 19 points and 13 rebounds. Sons Chris and Karl also played for their dad in his 24 seasons at Judson while accumulating over 600 wins.
In November, the 6-9 David Wacker signed a letter of intent with Boise State. He is shooting 62 percent from the field in his final season at Judson, averaging 11.6 points and 9.7 rebounds.
Tanner Leissner, a 6-6 New Hampshire signee, leads Judson in scoring (16) and rebounding (11.4). Point guard Julian Erickson is averaging 12 points and three assists.
Judson plays at Smithson Valley (Spring Branch) on Tuesday and hosts San Marcos on Friday.

1. Judson (Converse) 22-1
David Wacker, a 6-9 Boise State signee contributed 19 points and 13 rebounds in a 72-58 defeat of Wagner (San Antonio) in Friday's District 25-5A opener.
Tanner Leissner, a 6-6 New Hampshire signee, added 15 points.
2. South Grand Prairie 16-3

Rick Curry, a 6-9 junior, scored 19 points in Friday's 68-36 rout of District 7-5A opponent Midlothian. The Warriors, Class 5A state finalists last season, maintained a tie for the 7-5A lead with DeSoto at 4-1.
3. DeSoto 17-3 The Eagles put the clamps on neighboring rival Duncanville with a 52-40 win led by sophomore
Julian Miranda (11 points) and junior
Dominique Thomas (10 points).
4. North Shore (Houston) 20-3
Kerwin Roach, a 6-3 junior wing, scored 21 points to lead the Mustangs to a 66-46 road victory over West Brook (Beaumont).
5. Bel Air (El Paso) 19-0
Josh Gallegos, a 5-9 guard, scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half as the Highlanders improved to 5-0 in District 1-5A with a 60-49 victory over defending district champion Coronado (El Paso).
6. Northwest (Justin) 18-3
After holding off Richland (North Richland Hills), 57-54, in a key District 4-5A contest on Tuesday, Northwest breezed to a 76-40 rout of Keller Central on Friday.
Elijah Christman, a 6-5 junior wing, was the leading Northwest scorer in each game with 20 and 24 points respectively.
7. Beaumont Central (Beaumont) 19-2
Dominique Daw came off the bench to lead the Jaguars with 16 points in a 97-21 vanquishing of District 20-4A foe Livingston.
8. Manvel 19-4
The Mavericks scored 88 points in both of their most recent wins.
Leon Gilmore III, a 6-7 senior forward, hit for 32 in an 88-44 rout of Rayburn (Pasadena).
9. Fort Bend Bush (Richmond) 17-5
The Broncos dropped a 43-37 decision to defending Class 5A state champion and chief rival Fort Bend Travis (Richmond).
Brandon Jones led Bush with 11 points.
10. Allen 17-3
The Eagles rolled to a 62-29 victory over Boyd (McKinney) in a District 10-5A opener on Friday with junior guard
Nick Rutherford leading the way with 14 points.
11. Tascosa (Amarillo) 17-0
Parker Davidson, a 6-3 senior guard, led the way with 22 points in a 67-37 blowout of Central (San Angelo). The Rebels improved to 8-0 in District 2-5A.
12. Fort Bend Travis (Richmond) 19-5
Senior guard
Chris Idi sparked the Tigers with 13 points in a 43-37 victory over Fort Bend Bush (Richmond).

Michael Mayhew scored 19 points to lead the Marauders to a 51-42 victory over Coppell in a District 5-5A opener on Friday.
14. Plano West (Plano) 12-5
D.J. Hogg, a 6-6 junior, totaled 18 points in the Wolves 57-46 victory over McKinney in a District 10-5A opener.
Avery Johnson Jr. chipped in with 13 points for Plano West.
15. Bowie (Arlington) 17-3
The Volunteers improved to 5-0 in District 3-5A on Friday, but it wasn't easy. They managed to hold off Sam Houston (Arlington) 59-57 with
Dante Hales topping Bowie's scorers with 14 points.
16. Alamo Heights (San Antonio) 22-1
Georgia Tech-bound
Ben Lammers, a 6-10 senior, led the way with 21 points in a 69-51 victory over Hays (Buda) for a 5-0 record in District 27-4A.
17. Churchill (San Antonio) 21-3
Senior guard
Ben Mammel led with18 points in a 48-37 victory over Roosevelt (San Antonio) that improved the Chargers to 3-1 in District 26-5A.
18. Andress (El Paso) 18-2
The Eagles improved to 5-0 in District 1-4A with a 67-37 romp over Irvin (El Paso).
Jeffrey Long, a 5-11 senior, is the season leader in scoring, rebounding and assists.
19. Lewisville 15-3
The Farmers had no problem with Ryan (Denton) in the District 5-5A opener, a 59-37 win for Lewisville. Senior guard
Diamante Langston canned 20 points.
20. Dunbar (Fort Worth) 13-3
Dennis Jones made all of his five field goal attempts in overtime on the way to 33 points in a 92-82 victory over Birdville (North Richland Hills) as the Wildcats improved to 8-0 in District 6-4A.

The Rams improved to 5-0 in District 9-5A with a 78-54 thumping of W.T. White (Dallas).
Quinton Gillette, a 6-5 senior, topped the Rams with 20 points.
22. Prestonwood Christian (Plano) 21-2
Schnider Herard, a 6-11 sophomore, led the way with 15 points in a 57-53 victory over John Paul (Plano) to go 3-0 in TAPPS 1-5A.
23. Madison (Dallas) 13-4
Admon Gilder, a 6-4 junior guard, poured in 21 points to lead the Trojans to a 74-59 victory over Roosevelt (Dallas) in a District 11-3A opener on Saturday.
24. Atascocita (Humble) 17-6
Joe Burton, bound for Oklahoma State, registered 33 points to help the Eagles fly past Klein, 76-64. Atascocita is 8-0 in District 13-5A.
25. Port Arthur Memorial 16-4
Seven days after knocking off North Shore (Houston), the Titans were surprised by Sterling (Baytown), 53-52, despite 15 points from
Dorian Chatman.
