Softball Recap: Ontario Christian Triumphs

Ontario Christian never let their opponents score on Friday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Los Osos Grizzlies. The Knights were shut out 12-0 the last time they took on the Grizzlies, so the Knights were just returning the favor.

Callie Tager was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Ontario Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Los Osos, they moved to 4-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ontario Christian will host West Covina at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.43 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Los Osos, they will welcome Don Lugo at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
