Baseball Game Preview: Shaler Area Titans vs. Pine-Richland Rams

For the second straight game, Shaler Area will face off against Pine-Richland. The Titans will venture away from home to take on the Rams at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Shaler Area is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Monday, Shaler Area didn't have quite enough to beat Pine-Richland and fell 2-1.

For Pine-Richland's part, Carson King spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks. King has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Pine-Richland's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Grana, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. Another was Logan Plummer, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Shaler Area's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Pine-Richland, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.
