Baseball Recap: Blair-Taylor Comes Up Short

Melrose-Mindoro hit Blair-Taylor with a four-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-4. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Blair-Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 9-5-1. As for Melrose-Mindoro, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.
