McDonell Central waltzed into their match on Thursday with 23 straight wins... but they left with 24. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cadott Hornets. The Macks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

McDonell Central never let Cadott on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-11, 25-19.

McDonell Central's offense was headlined by Taylan Hanson and Anne Siegenthaler, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Erin Siegenthaler and her 32 assists. Finally, Anne was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

McDonell Central's victory bumped their record up to 28-2. As for Cadott, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 17-7 record.

Coming up, McDonell Central will take on Ladysmith in a tournament on Saturday. As for Cadott, they will be taking part in a tournament against Grantsburg at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
