LaBrae had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Girard Indians 8-6. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Indians two weeks ago, they had to take a 9-6 loss.

Meanwhile, Rowe struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. DeArmitt has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. At the plate, DeArmitt went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI, while Rowe went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Morgan Thompson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

LaBrae is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 21-6 record this season. As for Girard, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-14.

As of now, neither LaBrae nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
