Valhalla had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed past the El Cajon Valley Braves to the tune of 38-0 on Friday. Considering the Norsemen's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Liam Hypes was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 177 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 47 receiving yards. Jackson Newman also helped out as he racked up 120 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Valhalla was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 351 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Valhalla's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for El Cajon Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Valhalla will face off against Monte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
