Volleyball Recap: Peekskill Comes Up Short

Peekskill and Yonkers squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Peekskill had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Bulldogs. The Red Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured 11 defeats in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18, 25-13.

Khylee Capozzelli paced Peekskill's offense, picking up five kills. Capozzelli got some help from Nina Ijiogbe and her seven assists. Ijiogbe also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Camila Torres, each putting up two.

Peekskill's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Yonkers, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

As of now, neither Peekskill nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
