Volleyball Recap: Madison County Comes Up Short

Madison County was the 2-0 winner over Central when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Carleigh Lanford paced Madison County's offense, picking up ten kills. Lanford got some help from Addy Gustafson and her 21 assists.

Madison County's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.

Madison County has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against James Clemens on the 30th. As for Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Hazel Green on the 30th.
