Basketball Recap: Classical Takes a Loss

Classical was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the North Kingstown Skippers and fell 49-13. The Purple lost against the Skippers in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 60-45 score last time.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Kingstown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaelyn Holmes, who went 8-for-14 en route to 16 points and four steals. The match was Holmes' fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Emma Harding was another key player, putting up 15 points and three steals.

Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for North Kingstown, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-1.

Classical has already played their next game (against Hope), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Kingstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
