Service and Dimond are an even 3-3-4 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Cougars will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against the Lynx at 5:30 p.m. Service is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

Service is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Chugiak, who was ranked ninth at the time (Service was ranked seventh). The Cougars fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, Service couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Mark Stacy, who's now up to six this season.

Meanwhile, Dimond strolled into their game on Tuesday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They blew past Eagle River 10-1. Dimond might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by three goals or more this season.

Service's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1. As for Dimond, their win bumped their record up to 10-0-1.

Service came up short against Dimond when the teams last played back in April, falling 3-1. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
