Putnam Valley got themselves on the board against Saunders Trades & Tech on Thursday, but Saunders Trades & Tech never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 11-0 victory. Considering the Tigers have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Putnam Valley got a great performance from Eli Pierce as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Pierce has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Nick Mazzola was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was James Sanford, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Putnam Valley and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Saunders Trades & Tech, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Putnam Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-6 victory against Greeley on the 21st. As for Saunders Trades & Tech, they will take on Ossining at 10:00 a.m. on the 26th.
