Basketball Recap: Shorewood Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Shorewood extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Serinity Metcalfe. The Shorewood Greyhounds claimed a resounding 84-9 win over the South Cardinals thanks in part to Metcalfe, who dropped a triple-double on 53 points, 11 rebounds, and 20 steals. Her evening made it 24 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Alaina Tautges, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 10 points and three steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Shorewood is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 50 points. As for South, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.

Shorewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 84-62 defeat against Wisconsin Lutheran on the 4th. South has also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against North on the 4th.
