Recap: Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs vs. Louisburg Warriors
The Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 41-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Louisburg.
Durham School of the Arts' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaylen Mumford, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds, and Genesis Daniels who scored three points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mumford has scored all season.
Durham School of the Arts bumped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Louisburg, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Durham School of the Arts will take on Carrboro at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Carrboro presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Durham School of the Arts in North Carolina (Carrboro is ranked 176th, while Durham School of the Arts is ranked 487th). As for Louisburg, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Wake Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m.
