Basketball Recap: Hazlehurst Falls Despite Big Games from Brayden Murray and Josiah Pittman

Hazlehurst was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Enterprise Yellowjackets.

Josiah Pittman and Brayden Murray certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Pittman posted 17 points, while Murray earned 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jakavion Johnson, who put up six points.

Hazlehurst's record now sits at 4-8. As for Enterprise, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazlehurst won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Collins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Enterprise, they and Amite County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
