Baseball Recap: Indian Rocks Christian Has No Trouble Against Gulf

Indian Rocks Christian owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 9-0 margin over the Gulf Buccaneers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Ethan Beswetherick looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Noah Mortellite, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cooper Ryan, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Indian Rocks Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .525. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gulf only posted an OBP of .125.

Indian Rocks Christian's record now sits at 2-0. As for Gulf, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
