Baseball Recap: Walker Valley Comes Up Short

Walker Valley fell victim to Boyd-Buchanan and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-0. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buccaneers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Walker Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Boyd-Buchanan, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-10-1.

Looking ahead, Walker Valley will head out to take on Bradley Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Boyd-Buchanan, they will take on McMinn County at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
