Football Recap: Conard Red Wolves vs. Manchester Red Hawks
Conard had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it five. They lost 34-14 to the Manchester Red Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Wolves of the 37-21 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
As for Manchester, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 17, 2024 (when they won 54-18).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manchester to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jeremiah Pinckney, who rushed for 141 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Rodriguez, who rushed for 102 yards and a pair of TDs.
Coming up, Conard will challenge Simsbury at 6:30 p.m. on the 7th. The Red Wolves will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Manchester, they will take on Hall at 6:30 p.m. on the 7th.
