Basketball Recap: Kotzebue Comes Up Short

After flying high against Homer two weeks ago, Kotzebue came back down to earth. The Kotzebue Huskies took a 46-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bethel Warriors on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

Kotzebue's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Bethel, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

While Kotzebue had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
