Soccer Game Preview: Ocean Lakes vs. Western Branch

The Ocean Lakes Dolphins will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Western Branch Bruins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ocean Lakes' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Great Bridge, sneaking past 1-0.

Meanwhile, Western Branch was able to grind out a solid victory over Cape Henry Collegiate on Tuesday, taking the game 4-2. That's two games straight that Western Branch have won by exactly two goals.

Western Branch has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored six goals over those two matchups. As for Ocean Lakes, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Ocean Lakes came out on top in a nail-biter against Western Branch in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will Ocean Lakes repeat their success, or does Western Branch has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
