Prestonwood Christian had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against the Westlake Chaparrals by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.

Several Chaparrals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sunny McWilliams, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Prestonwood Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Westlake, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season.

Prestonwood Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Trinity Christian at 6:00 p.m. on September 9. As for Westlake, they will be taking part in a tournament against Stony Point at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
