Basketball Game Preview: Broken Arrow Tigers vs. Charles Page Sandites

The Broken Arrow Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Charles Page Sandites at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Broken Arrow took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Bartlesville 72-19. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Bruins are ranked 322nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Charles Page had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 77-25 win over Harding Fine Arts.

Broken Arrow better keep an eye on Deke Thompson. He was instrumental in Charles Page's win, going 7 for 12 on his way to 22 points and four steals. The matchup was Thompson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalil Allen, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Broken Arrow pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Charles Page, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.

Broken Arrow strolled past Charles Page in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a score of 52-33. Will Broken Arrow repeat their success, or does Charles Page have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
