Volleyball Recap: Los Angeles Leadership Academy Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Los Angeles Leadership Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Everything went their way against the WISH Academy Owls on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Owls recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Los Angeles Leadership Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept WISH Academy between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-17.

Allen Williams paced Los Angeles Leadership Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Williams got some help from Daniel Duarte and his six assists.

Los Angeles Leadership Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for WISH Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Los Angeles Leadership Academy will venture away from home to challenge Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for WISH Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Harbor Teacher on the 5th.
