Softball Recap: North Garland Raiders vs. Naaman Forest Rangers

After flying high against South Garland last Tuesday, North Garland came back down to earth. The Raiders came up short against the Naaman Forest Rangers on Friday, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 back in March.

North Garland saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marhiana Hughes, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Another was Isabella Malone, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

North Garland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Naaman Forest, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-18.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. North Garland is set to square off against their familiar foe Rowlett at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Naaman Forest will challenge rival Sachse at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
