Volleyball Recap: Lake Zurich Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Lake Zurich had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Saint Viator Lions.

Lake Zurich easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15.

Wyatt Jones paced Lake Zurich's offense, picking up seven kills. Jones got some help from Yani Oblakov and his ten assists. Gabe Schwartz controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Lake Zurich's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Saint Viator, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Zurich will face off against Grant Community at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Saint Viator, they will take on Larkin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
