Volleyball Game Preview: Unity Eagles vs. Ladysmith Lumberjacks

The Unity Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Ladysmith Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Unity is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since September 13th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Glenwood City 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Hilltoppers: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Ladysmith hadn't done well against Fall Creek recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Lumberjacks walked away with a 2-0 win over the Crickets.

Unity's record now sits at 19-10. As for Ladysmith, their record is now 12-20.

Unity was able to grind out a solid victory over Ladysmith in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
