After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Montgomery, Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Gill St. Bernard's Knights 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given Ridge's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Gill St. Bernard's are ranked 29th).

Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Gill St. Bernard's, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.

Coming up, Ridge will square off against West Morris Mendham at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Gill St. Bernard's, they will face off against West Morris Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
