The Peyton Panthers will face off against the Kiowa Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Peyton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
It was a proper cat-fight when Peyton challenged Colorado Springs Christian on Thursday. The Panthers blew past the Lions 21-1. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Zayden Ebbert was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Peyton is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-4 otherwise. Ebbert was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
In other batting news, Peyton got a massive performance out of Bryce Love, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Love also got three hits, which is notable because the Panthers are 7-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 1-3 otherwise. Trent Gregg was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.
Peyton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Evangel Christian Academy hit Kiowa with a four-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rowan Golden was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Peyton's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Kiowa, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Peyton has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Kiowa struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Peyton's way against Kiowa in their previous matchup back in April of 2017, as Peyton made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
