Softball Recap: Tazewell Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Tazewell's offense. They came up short against the Richlands Blue Tornado on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Blue Tornado recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Tazewell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Richlands, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Tazewell will face off against Carroll County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.4 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Richlands, they will challenge Eastside at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Tornado's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
