Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeside Christian). They snuck past the Cristo Rey Tampa Panthers with a 76-70 victory on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Cristo Rey Tampa's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isiah Carroll, who went 10 for 23 on his way to 24 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Abraham Casadiego, who went 8 of 16 en route to 21 points.

Lakeside Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-17. As for Cristo Rey Tampa, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Lakeside Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-55 defeat against Hernando Christian Academy on the 31st. Cristo Rey Tampa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
