Baseball Recap: Minnewaska Area Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Minnewaska Area dropped their record down to 13-6 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins at home. They lost 13-4 to the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers. The Lakers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 19-0. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 games by six runs or more this season.

For Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta's part, Riley Asmus was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave Asmus a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrew Marty, who went 2-for-4 with four runs and two stolen bases.

While Minnewaska Area had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
