Baseball Recap: Afton Takes a Loss

Afton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-2 to the Wyandotte Bears. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Afton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tristan Owens, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Owens hit this season. Another was Brady Robinson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Afton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Wyandotte, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Afton will head out to square off against Chouteau-Mazie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wyandotte, they will venture away from home to challenge Fairland at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
