Soccer Game Preview: Sutherland vs. Mendon

The Sutherland Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Mendon Vikings at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Sutherland is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals back in August, they were much more limited against Mendon back in September. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Sutherland couldn't quite close it out.

The win made it two in a row for Mendon and bumps their season record up to 13-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Sutherland, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
