Baseball Recap: Central Valley Takes a Loss

Central Valley fell victim to Heritage and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. That makes it the first time this season the Hawks have let down their home crowd.

Central Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Heritage, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Central Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Tokay on the 31st. As for Heritage, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mission at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
