Ridgeline waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Ferris Saxons. Given Ridgeline's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Ferris are ranked 217th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ridgeline pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Ferris, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ridgeline will face off against rival Lewis & Clark at 6:30 p.m. on May 2. Meanwhile, Ferris is set to square off against their familiar foe Cheney at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
