If Sprayberry wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Mt. Bethel Christian Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Bree Benich. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Yellow Jackets 2-1 for which the team can thank Benich, who had 21 digs and five aces. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Mt. Bethel Christian Academy who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 23-25, 15-11.

The win made it two in a row for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-5. As for Sprayberry, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Coincidentally, Mt. Bethel Christian Academy and Sprayberry will both be playing Lassiter the next time they take the court. The Yellow Jackets will head out to face the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
