Palisade had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 40-7 victory over the Delta Panthers. With the Bulldogs ahead 30-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Palisade was led to victory by Branson Springer and Adyn Cassity. Springer rushed for 51 yards and two scores, while Cassity rushed for 77 yards and one TD. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Springer a new career-high. Nathan Umberger made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Looking ahead, Palisade will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Montrose at 7:00 p.m. As for Delta, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Gunnison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
