Volleyball Recap: Sydney Moore Key Part of Team Effort in BULLDOGS Win

The Bandera BULLDOGS were able to grind out a solid win over the Sam Houston Hurricanes on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.

Bandera's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Moore, who had 11 kills and two aces. Moore has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 13 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Wells, who had nine digs.

Bandera's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Sam Houston, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Bandera and Sam Houston could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The BULLDOGS (ranked 486th) will meet Jourdanton (ranked 223rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sam Houston will square off against Edison at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (890 vs. 381).
