Softball Recap: Franklin Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Franklin and Ida B. Wells, and Franklin kept the tradition alive. The Quakers put the hurt on the Guardians with a sharp 16-4 win on Wednesday. The Quakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by nine runs or more this season.

Franklin's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ida B. Wells, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will challenge McDaniel at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mountain Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.57 runs per game on average), something the Quakers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ida B.
