South Lyon came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 11 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Kettering Captains. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Captains, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-10, 25-17.

South Lyon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lucy Stoll out in front who had 11 aces and six digs. Stoll has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last ten times she's played.

Stoll wasn't the only good servers: South Lyon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in ten consecutive matchups.

South Lyon's record is now 21-5. As for Kettering, they moved to 6-11 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, South Lyon will take on St. Mary's Prep in a tournament on Saturday. As for Kettering, they will venture away from home to challenge Wayne Memorial on Saturday.
