Vela is 7-2 against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Vela Sabercats will square off against the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas at 6:00 p.m. Vela will be strutting in after a victory while Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will be coming in after a defeat.

Vela took a three-goal loss the last time they faced off against Rowe, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Vela never let Rowe get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sabercats.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest's offense. They lost 4-0 to Pioneer on Tuesday. The Javelinas haven't had much luck with the Diamondbacks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Vela's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.

Vela took their win against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Vela since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
