            Basketball Recap: Family Christian Academy Lions vs. Heritage Christian School Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Family Christian Academy lost against Heritage Christian School back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Family Christian Academy Lions were  outmatched by the Heritage Christian School Eagles and fell  70-41. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings  (they are ranked 712th, while the Eagles are ranked 338th).
 Family Christian Academy lost  despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being   Javon Garcia, who  went 5 for 7  en route to 15 points and three  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaysen Francois, who  dropped  a double-double on 12  points and ten  boards.
 Heritage Christian School found their leader in sophomore  Jeremiah Reid, who  went 14 of 21  on his way to 30 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals.  Elijah Reid was another key player,  going 9 for 16  en route to 19  points in addition to five  boards and three  steals.

With the  defeat, Family Christian Academy broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-10. As for Heritage Christian School, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Family Christian Academy will head out to  challenge North Kissimmee Christian  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. One thing working in North Kissimmee Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  in their last three matches. As for Heritage Christian School, they are taking a road trip to  face off against Gateway  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
