Baseball Game Preview: Santaluces Chiefs vs. Saint Andrew's Scots

Santaluces is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Saint Andrew a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Santaluces Chiefs will welcome the Saint Andrew's Scots at 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Santaluces' offense. They lost 16-0 to Park Vista on Tuesday.

Santaluces saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Raab, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Daniel Vargas also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Saint Andrew's won against Jupiter Christian on Friday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. Saint Andrew's sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Calvary Christian Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Scots have posted since February 20, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Coy Allman, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Orozco, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The victory got Saint Andrew's back to even at 3-3. As for Santaluces, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
