Baseball Game Preview: Eastmoor Academy Warriors vs. Marion-Franklin Red Devils

For the second straight game, Eastmoor Academy will face off against Marion-Franklin. The Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Eastmoor Academy's favor as the team sits on eight straight wins at home while Marion-Franklin has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

On Friday, Eastmoor Academy earned a 13-8 win over Marion-Franklin. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won four in a row.

Savion Watts made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Taylor Vivens and Mario Blount did most of the damage at the plate: Vivens got on base in three of his six plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Blount went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits Blount has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Mouhammed Ndiaye, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Eastmoor Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Marion-Franklin, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
