Basketball Game Preview: Severance Silver Knights vs. Roosevelt Roughriders

Severance is 0-7 against Roosevelt since February of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Severance Silver Knights will take on the Roosevelt Roughriders at 5:30 p.m.

Severance is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. The contest between them and Thompson Valley didn't end well, with Severance falling 57-42.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roosevelt). They breezed past Mountain View to the tune of 89-21 on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Roughriders who have now won eight games in a row.

Roosevelt's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45.3 points. As for Severance, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Severance was taken down by Roosevelt 86-54 in their previous matchup back in January. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Severance was down 52-30.
