Baseball Game Preview: Federal Hocking Lancers vs. Green Bobcats

The Federal Hocking Lancers are taking a road trip to challenge the Green Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Federal Hocking is looking for their season's first win.

Federal Hocking fell victim to South Gallia and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Rebels, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Green ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Portsmouth West, sneaking past 9-7.

Mason Neal was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Green has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That lines up perfectly with their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Federal Hocking, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-19.
